THE GOLDEN BOLL INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM
COMPETITION FOR MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES

Article 1. "The Golden Boll International Short Film Competition for Mediterranean Countries", sponsored by Adana Metropolitan City Municipality, is dedicated to the promotion of the development of short films and creative film making.
It aims to bring academics, filmmakers, artists, journalists and intellectuals together and to encourage greater understanding among people and cultures in an international context of the Mediterranean basin countries.

Article 2. The Festival will take place between 17th and 25th September 2011 in Adana, Turkey

Article 3. The Festival accepts short films produced in the following categories:
*Fiction
*Documentary
*Animation
*Experimental

Article 4. Applications may be sent by institutions or individually from any country in the Mediterranean basin.

Article 5. The Festival only accepts short films no longer than 20 minutes and documentary films no longer than 30 minutes.
Films should have been shot by during the years 2010 and 2011 in any format. Films should be sent to the Festival only mastering quality DVD Pal copies format.

Article 6. All films must be with English subtitles.

Article 7. There will be a pre-selection process. Films will be selected in the official competition. The directors of these films will be invited to the festival. In addition, the festival will be in charge of their transportation and housing fees, including meals.

Article 8. The application forms, including copies of the films, must be sent to the Festival office by the 10 june 2011

Article 9. The application must include the following:
A filled and signed admission form. A summary of the film in English ( Not more than 100 words). A biography in English and a photo (digital) of the film director ( Not more than 50 words).
Two copies of the film in DVD Pal format.

Article 10. The festival organizers ar titled to make the necessary changes.

Article 11. The participation at "The Golden Boll International Short Film Festival" for mediterranean countries requires the agreement upon the present regulation document.

Article 12. DVD Pal copies will be kept by the Festival for the archival purposes after the Festival.

•  Best Short Experimental Award : 10.000 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 4.500 Avro )
•  Best Short Documentary Award : 10.000 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 4.500 Avro )

•  Fiction Jury Special Award: 2.500 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 1.100 Avro )
•  Animation Jury Special Award: 2.500 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 1.100 Avro )
•  Experimental Jury Special Award: 2.500 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 1.100 Avro )
•  Documentary Jury Special Award : 2.500 Turkish Lira ( Nearly 1.100 Avro )
